YWCA to Start Evening Classes in October
The YWCA plans fall and winter programs with evening educational classes in October. Offerings include Basketry Poster Making Cooking Dressmaking Millinery Practical Arithmetic Everyday English English for Foreign Born G irls Current Events and Citizenship Dramatics Glee Club Spanish First Aid and a Religious Education class for men and women. Ten applicants needed to form a class and more courses may open.

The John Elder Men's Bible Class of Derry Presbyterian Sunday School met September 26 at Rev. R. H. Taylor's home. Officers were elected: President R. S. Woomer, Vice President G. Funeral for Thomas E. Ebersole in Oklahoma
Mrs. E. L. Bomgardner returned from Watonga Oklahoma after attending the funeral of her brother Thomas E. Ebersole who died in an accident caused by a run away team. Ebersole born near Hummelstown lived on a farm then moved to Nebraska and later Oklahoma where he owned a large farm and served as Blain county school director. He was retired but helped on the farm and is survived by his wife.

The Hershey Mothers' Club held its annual park pavilion dance to benefit the Hershey Free Kindergarten. Rain reduced attendance and the financial outcome, but attendees enjoyed the Mannix Dance Orchestra. The Kindergarten, nine years old with 38 students, is directed by the club and supported by Mr. M. S. Hershey.

Six Month Old Dorothea Blott Passes After Illness
Dorothea Elenora Blott of Hershey died at age six months and one day from neuritis on September 21 at her grandmother Mrs Ella Sellers in Royalton. Funeral service at St Peter's Lutheran Middletown led by Rev Fuller Berxstresser, with interment in Middletown cemetery. Pallbearers Clement Eagle Robert Wolf Robert Clark Charles Mathias.
