New Wore Prisoner Remade by Time in Hershey Press
A Dauphin county prisoner released from the Eastern Penitentiary after twenty two years is described as a transformed man who studied music painting and poetry and became a skilled machinist. The piece argues imprisonment can reform if the offender accepts correction and resolves to improve. It cites Judge Blair and Adams county bribery cases and notes a Massachusetts man’s ice thickening experiment with a car.
