William Peters, a Hershey meat department driver, escaped injury after his horse sank in a sink hole on Rena ys street Saturday morning. Ten workers pulled for an hour to free the horse, the harness broken, but Peters resumed deliveries unharmed.

Death of Mrs John Yingst in Derry Church at 82
Mrs John Yingst aged 82 years 6 months 15 days died at her son George Yingst’s home in Derry Church after a paralytic stroke. Survived by two sisters a brother three sons Michael Alfred and George four grandchildren ten great grandchildren. Brief funeral at the son’s home then burial at Hummelstown with Lutheran church services led by Revs Sternat and Hilbish. Pallbearers named William Wenger Samuel Garman Amos Hershey Israel Moyer.

The Ladies Aid Society of the United Brethren Church served a noontime lunch in the gymnasium at Hershey Park on Tuesday. Menu included baked beans chicken croquettes pepper slaw bread and butter ice cream cake and coffee. The event drew many patrons and netted about 35 dollars.
