Bear Bob the Black Bear Dies at Hershey Park
Bob the black bear at Hershey Park died last Thursday morning from liver congestion after a long winter rest. Keeper Mr. Zinner noted no ill signs before his death and a post mortem confirmed the cause. Bob, seven, weighed 375 pounds, had been born in captivity and previously shared the pit with Mag who died earlier from a foil ingestion. Cubs will be sought to replace him in the den.

Three big electric signs arrived for Hershey Park before the season. A two foot sign will mark the cafe, while 1.5 foot signs go at the amphitheater entrance and the dancing pavilion. Additional illuminations will be added with larger lights around drives to enhance night appeal.
