The Hershey Chocolate Company opens a bright 125 by 125 foot General Office area on the second floor with extensive daylight and modern sanitation. Mr. D C Giles, General Office Manager, oversees sixty to seventy staff in credits, milk, sales records, billing, mailing, filing and stenography as about 2000 mail items depart daily. The new quarters support vast distribution across the United States and worldwide with a cheerful, well organized staff.

Funeral of Harry Coppenhaver Draws Large Crowds
One of Hershey’s most attended funerals occurred for Harry Coppenhaver last Wednesday. The service was led by Rev. I. C. Krapf, who traveled from Atlantic City. Interment followed at the Reformed Cemetery in Campbelltown. Coppenhaver belonged to Washington Camp 192, Patriotic Order Sons of America, of Palmyra.

Funeral for Aaron Mowrer Draws Large Crowd in Lancaster County
More than a thousand mourners attended Aaron Mowrer's funeral at the Old Mennonite Church in New Providence Lancaster County where Rev. George Rentz led services. Short services were held at his Hershey home Thursday evening as Lebanon Valley offered floral tributes including a pink rose wreath from Hershey gardeners. Mowrer, a popular local figure, died young, leaving a wide circle of friends in sorrow.

Hershey Hosts Most Successful Brethren Conference
The Brethren of the Church praised Hershey as the finest town for their gathering. Elder Moore called Hershey “the finest, most artistic and most sensible town” and lauded M B Hershey as a big, broad, far seeing man. Attendance neared 70 000 across four days including Sunday crowds of over 35 000. The Hershey organization provided ample facilities, smooth feeding, prompt service, and cooperative local spirit. The Her shey Band extends Sunday concerts from 2.30 to 4 p m with 40 members and augmented repertoire. Ladies Opposed to Suffrage At Hershey Conference
The Pennsylvania Association Opposed to Woman Suffrage ran a popular tent near the Convention Hall on Spring Creek Avenue. Detectives Earn Praise for Conference Safety Efforts

An historic certificate shows John JH Snyder as a director of the Lancaster and Susquehanna Turnpike. The document, dating April 28, 1802, bears the signature of Edward Hand and marks five transfers, preserving a notable piece of Revolutionary War era provenance.
