Two horses attached to the sleigh of Butcher Flory of Lawn ran away yesterday morning. They dashed toward Hershey and near Cloverdale where one animal was so badly hurt it had to be killed. Flory reported losses of over twenty dollars and meat scattered along the road.

Joseph S. Strickler aged 82 died at his home near Wummestown from pneumonia. He was one of the best known farmers in Derry township.
