Nearly a thousand watched Hershey High School pupils present a Friday revue at the Wershey Central Theatre directed by Gregg Darrow and Leah H Burns. The program featured strong chorus, standout solos by Lucille Gilman Mildred Hocker and Alex Magrini, humorous turns by Edward Shea, sax by James DeAngelis and Victor Frehn, and lively dancing by Vera Miller Ruth Frehn and others. Proceeds go to the Senior Washington trip after graduation.

Death of Harry Hershey in Florida and burial in Hershey
The community learned that Harry Hershey died in Jacksonville after retiring at his hotel on Tuesday evening while wintering in Florida. Services were held at West Chocolate Avenue home with Ras A. G. Nye officiating and burial at Fishburn’s Church cemetery. He leaves four brothers and two sisters, with a age of 63 years 3 months and 27 days.

A marble shooting contest will be held in Harrisburg with the winner earning a trip to the National Marble Shooting Contest in Atlantic City next summer.
