Old Derry to Observe 200th Anniversary
The Derry Presbyterian Church held its Friday night annual meeting with strong reports from secretaries and treasurers across church organizations. Over 1400 dollars went to benevolent boards and additional funds to miscellaneous causes, with Burclay School enrollment up over 20 percent. Plans were set to observe the church's 200th anniversary June 20 to 22 with Dr. Stewart of Auburn Theological Seminary expected to speak. A committee was formed to craft a program and call a special meeting if needed. New church officers include Deacons Howard J. Shellenhamer and Paul L. Everett. trustees John H. Cope. treasurer Irving L. Reist. and various Sunday School officers and staff.
