Hershey Park manager John R. Zoll says the 1924 season will surpass prior years in picnics and attractions. Fred Hand of Keystone Amusement Co. joins the team to present acts in the Convention Hall, a 5000 to 7500 seat venue with floor for dancing after maple flooring installation. Plans include orchestras for Decoration Day and stars from Sousa to Gallucurci, plus a large Brethren Church General Conference June 4 to 14 attracting many delegates.

Hugh Wagner, a 13 year Hershey Chocolate Company employee, resigns to run the wholesale and retail candy business of John D. Sourbeck in Bellefonte. The Sourbeck-Wagner venture was founded fifty years ago by Sourbeck and Wagner’s father, John A. Wagner. Known as Slim, Wagner is Hershey’s premier fisherman and a respected wood craftsman.

Conewago Community Trees Demonstration Near Deodate
A tree planting demonstration was held Wednesday at 1:30 PM near the Deodate schoolhouse under Dauphin County Agricultural Extension Association auspices.
