Hershey Girl Wins First Prize Essay in Harrisburg Contest
Hershey High School student Diane Bohner daughter of Mr and Mrs George T Bohner of 628 Cocoa Avenue won first prize in a Harrisburg District essay contest on the theme Employment of the Physically Handicapped A Community Problem. She received a 50 dollar U S Savings Bond at a school assembly held February 20. The prize was donated by Middletown Air Materiel Area Administrative Club and presented by Thomas B Schriver Jr co chair of the Harrisburg Committee. Bohner is active in chorus and works as church organist monthly.

Retired Group To Hear Rev Adams In Hershey
The Rev. Warren E. Adams of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church in Palmyra will speak at the Hershey Retired Employees Association meeting on March 4. Vice President William Seltzer urges attendance and bringing a retired friend. All Hershey company retirees and Milton Hershey School staff are invited. The 2 PM gathering at the Hershey fire hall will feature a flute ensemble from Hershey High School, with Irvin E. Spancake leading group singing and Mrs. Israel Early on piano.

The Hershey Council of United Church Women marks the 71st World Day of Prayer on March 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the First Evangelical United Brethren Church. A 24 hour sun‑travel prayer chain spans from Fiji to St. Lawrence Island. The Romans 8 35 themed service was written by Hungarian émigré Serena Vassady and includes a planned program for children.

The Hershey Community Club sponsors a four session flower arranging course with Miss Nancy George Carlisle florist as instructor. Sessions run March 20 and 27 at 7 30 pm and April 3 and 10 at 2 pm at the Community Building. Enrollment is free for club members. non members pay one dollar and must be Derry Township residents unless employed by Hershey companies.
