The Rev Dr and Mrs Joseph R MacDonald were surprised with a television set by the Fishburn Evangelical United Brethren Church congregation. E Morse Heisey presented the gift as appreciation for their years of service as Dr MacDonald begins his eighth year as pastor. A Girls' Guild program followed by Family Night at the Women's Society of World Service meeting drew 135 attendees in the church social room.

Hershey Rotary Club’s Community Service Committee will again sponsor a Home Christmas Decoration Contest in the community. Details and prize schedule to be announced by Chairman George Booth. Last year’s grand prize went to Miss Virginia Strawderman, an elementary teacher in Derry Township School District.

The Hershey Community Theatre hosts a District Christmas concert by elementary and junior high pupils with a Senior High Orchestra prelude at 7 15. Students perform White Christmas in the Snow and related selections plus choral and brass features under Dr W Paul Campbell and a large faculty and student team.
