Hershey Lights Up For Holiday Season
Hershey celebrates the holidays with a 1100 watt lamp display on the Main Office Building at the chocolate plant. Twenty two strings of lamps and lighted streamers outline doors and walls, topped by a 1614 foot trimmed tran scent. The installation was carried out by the Electrical Department workers led by Harold Ginder Kent Boyer George Gish and Albert Luciani with others assisting. Don Chubb Ed Tancredi and Harry L Erdman supervised and advised. The colorful display adds festive atmosphere against ivy walls and is visible from afar.

Retired Blacksmith Snyder Linked to Hershey Footwear Trade
Longtime blacksmith Howard Snyder retired earlier this year from Hershey Lumber Company. He forged horseshoes for Hershey farm horses for over sixteen years, after starting as a boy in Lancaster. Now living at 414 West Chocolate Avenue, he did other smithing in the shop during his final months while noting his low absence record.
