Retired Hershey staff to dine at Christmas gathering
The Hershey Chocolate Corp Hershey Estates and Milton Hershey School announce a Christmas dinner for retired employees on December 18 at six p.m. in the Hershey Community Building. Invitations from HCC president S F Hinkle Hershey Estates president J B Sollenberger and Milton Hershey School board chair D Paul Witmer promise a shared evening with spouses and old friends. The event moves to a single night after years of two dinners.

Organ Dedication Concert at Redeemer Church
Karl Eby Moyer, Hershey musician and Lebanon Valley College senior, will play a dedicatory concert on the new pipe organ at the Church of the Redeemer United Church of Christ on Sunday at 7 30 p m. He will perform sacred music and pieces by Bach Brahms and others. The Salem United Church of Christ choir from Campbelltown, directed by Moyer, will join. The event honors the organ gifted by the former Union Deposit congregation and supported by its Ladies Bible Class and other church funds. The Rev Joseph Chuckla will extend greetings on behalf of Campbelltown church.

Renovations at Cocoa Inn Highlight Dining Banquet Shift
The Cocoa Inn unveils major interior changes under Manager Thomas W. Mason. The dining room splits into two with folding doors, a banquet section in the Cocoa Avenue end, and a Dutch themed brick interior. The Cacao Lounge lighting shifts to candlelight dining. Sixteen new bathrooms added, sixteen new rooms, 100 Designer TV sets installed, second floor lobby and front halls re-carpeted. The fish tank is removed. William A. Thornquist named assistant manager in charge of all food and beverage services and stewarding, reporting to Chef Jack Heilman. Thornquist, Penn State Hotel Administration graduate, formerly served at Rodney Hotel in Wilmington and at Hotel State College and Schenley Park Hotel. He hails from Pittsburgh.

Thanksgiving Breakfast for Youth Nears Thanksgiving Service
One hundred fifteen young people attended a Thanksgiving Breakfast last Thursday in the parish hall of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity. Sponsored by the Hershey Ministerium and hosted by the Luther League, with Richard G. Miller Jr. as organizing intern and Luther League members and parents in charge. Most attendees then joined the community Thanksgiving Day service at Fishburn Evangelical United Brethren Church.
