Hershey churches announce Advent concerts candlelight services and pageants for Christmas season 1958. Holy Trinity Lutheran Derry Presbyterian All Saints Episcopal Fishburn E U B note schedule details and special services through December and early January.
Marlin Balsbaugh was elected president of the Derry Township Board of School Directors at the annual reorganizational meeting. He succeeds E Carl Foreman and has twelve years on the board including eight as secretary and one as vice president. William H Black was re elected as vice president with eleven years on the board. Other members listed include Ezra E Grubb Clever E Ernst E Carl Foreman Paul O Curry and E Morse Heisey. A dinner followed the session attended by about forty with remarks from Dr L Eugene Jacques and several community leaders.
Marie Melmann Naugle a former Harrisburg Symphony harpist appears with Hershey High School Chorus in a performance of Benjamin Britten A Ceremony of Carols at Hershey Community Theatre on Monday evening December 15 as part of the annual Christmas Music Festival. Ruth Lingle Rodney Stoessel accompany rehearsals. Diane Flowers Ruthanne Donmeyer are vocal soloists directed by Elwyn Spangler.
Two Hershey students in Lebanon Valley College orchestra played in Eagle Hall on Tuesday evening. Doris Hein on French horn and Karl Meyer on viola were listed as performers with Thomas Lanese, assistant professor, conducting the college symphony.
