Art Garrison Wins Employees Golf Title In Playoff
Art Garrison captured the 1957 Hershey Employees Handicap Golf Tournament at Hershey Country Club in a four hole playoff with lefty Bill O Neal. Garrison, the only scratch golfer among 132 participants, posted a 69 while O Neal tied with 69 but faltered on the fourth extra hole. This is Garrison’s third championship in five years, with prior wins in 1953 and the tour’s early years. The trophy was presented by Hershey Estates VP James E. Bobb.

Plans for Hershey 21st Annual Baby Parade
Hershey Park announces the twenty first annual Baby Parade as part of Kiddies Day. The event in Hershey Sports Arena starts at two o clock with a gold trophy and a $25 merchandise prize for the cutest baby. Children under five may enter with no advance registration and should arrive just before the parade.

Hershey Girl Survives Mexico City Earthquake Experience
Norma Modesti, daughter of Mr and Mrs Alvise Modesti of 122 West Granada Avenue Hershey, was in Mexico City during a strong quake. She escaped with shaken nerves after buildings swayed and lights failed describing cracks and screams before continuing a motor trip to California with a Penn State roommate.
