500 Boys And Girls Get Safety Lesson At Bicycle Program
Derry Township youths numbering about 500 filled the High School Playground last Saturday for the Optimist Club second annual Bicycle Safety Program. Twelve year old Eileen Petrucci won the top prize, receiving it from John B. Sollenberger. Participants received a color emblem a registration card and a safety booklet as drills in bicycle safety were demonstrated to aid traffic movement and prevent accidents.

Dairy Cattle Show Set for Dutch Days Festival
Plans for the Dairy Cattle Show as part of the eighth Pennsylvania Dutch Days outline August 23 to 26. James E. Bobb, chairman, says breeders from eight central counties compete for 4300 dollars in prize money. Ayrshire Guernsey Holstein Friesian and Jersey entries from Dauphin Cumberland Lebanon Lancaster York Berks Schuylkill and Perry counties participate. The 4-H heifer round-up features Dauphin Lebanon clubs. cattle housed under Hershey Stadium stands with judging on the stadium track.
