Grass Fire Devours 50 Acres and Hay Barn
McQueeney firefighters battled a 50 acre grass fire near Youngsford Road Thursday afternoon. Teams from New Braunfels Lake Dunlap Seguin and Marion aided. About 35 firefighters contained the blaze by 6 p.m. A small hay storage barn and around 70 bales of hay were destroyed, valued at about $200 for the hay. barn value not known.
