Tragedy in Manitowoc County Fire Kills Varney Children
Three Varney children aged 3 to 7 died in a mobile home fire on Rt 1 Whitelaw in central Manitowoc County. Fire origin undetermined. Parents Donald and (Mrs) Varney were away when firefighters found the bodies. Investigators include Coroner Powers Sheriff Vanish and State Fire Marshal Meyer. Funeral set for 1:30 pm Monday at First Lutheran Manitowoc. Red Cross collecting donations for the family.
