A. A. Webber a well known stock buyer from Castleton, previously of Saratoga township Marshall county, fell into an ash pit at the Northwestern Stock Yards in Peoria while stepping from a freight train. His leg was crushed, treated by Dr. King, and he is slowly recovering at Castleton crutches, with months expected before walking normally.

Born near Henry she taught public school for 30 years and mentored many students. She and Harwood moved west seeking health and cultivated a cottage and fruit ranch in California. Cremation occurred in Oakland with later interment planned in Henry.
