Compressed Air Waterworks Proposal Endorsed by City
Mr To of Witte, president of a South Bend construction group, met the city council to propose an air and waterworks system. His plan includes a 42 by 42 brick plant, two 300,000 gallon pumps, two 15,000 gallon tanks, five miles of mains, 61 hydrants, two hose carts, and 14x feet of hose for 21 000 dollars. The plant would serve direct or compressed air use and be built on Front Street, site of the Nicholson corn crib.

Church Notes Reflect July Activities and Local Plans
The July church dinner and supper raised near the $100 mark. The Kirkpatrick baby girl was baptized at the Presbyterian Church. Mrs Carpenter's high school girls won a attendance banner for June. Episcopal church group organized outings for needy children. canvassing will include three wards and outer areas for venues in August. Rev John Barrett, former St John’s rector, now serves in Oconto Wisconsin with a new wife and permanent home. Best wishes are extended for his happiness and success.
