Vid Williams former resident now living in Peoria died at Pendleton Oregon at age 72 from injuries after a ladder fall June 1. He was born in Henry and raised there and is survived by his brother David Williams and two sisters Mrs. Rance of Omaha Neb and Alice Williams of Long Beach.

Library Tag Day Planned for Next Saturday
The public library will host a tag day to raise funds for new books recommended by the American Library Association. Outside city residents can exchange a tag for a three month free library card, while existing paid cardholders can renew for three months by presenting a tag. Mrs Susan Holton Claimed by Death at 89
Mrs Susan Holton aged 89 died after a stroke at 1 AM Tuesday at the home of her daughter Mrs Bert Goodwin in Wenona. Born August 23 1846 in Beloit Wisconsin she married James W Holton in 1876 and lived at Rosedale near Wenona before moving to Minonk. Survived by six children six grandchildren and a stepson. Funeral held at her daughter’s home and Wenona Presbyterian Church with burial in Wenona cemetery.
