Glenn S. Strawn of Hopewell Township died at home on Monday June 16 1947 after a paralytic illness and a light stroke. He was 76, born August 25 1870, married Martha M. Stroup in 1904, served as tax collector and road commissioner, and lived in Hopewell 68 years. Survived by his widow Martha sister Myrtle and brother George, with funeral services at First Methodist Church in Lacon and burial in Strawn Cemetery.
