Dedication Services Held Sunday At Methodist Church
The Henry Methodist church dedicated its new basement rooms chairs tables screens and the outside bulletin board during a Sunday dawn service with Dr Claude Temple assisting and preaching. E E Liliquist accepted memorial gifts for dedication while three church choirs provided special music.

Daugherty To Move To Henry For Plant Audit Duties
William F. Daugherty of Goodrich will relocate to Henry Illinois to serve as field auditor during construction of the Henry General Chemicals Plant. He joined BFG Chemical in 1952 and rose to supervisor of staff accounting services. He will move with his wife Joanne and two daughters to 523 Edward Street. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Funeral for Forrest Lester 71 Held at Green Funeral Home
Forrest Lester 71 died Tuesday May 28 at his daughter's home in Henry after a monthlong illness. Service held at 4 pm Thursday May 30, Rev Melyan Roy Schultz officiated. Burial in Putnam Cemetery with grandsons and a nephew as pallbearers. He was born near Joplin Missouri and moved to Magnediestle then farmed with his wife Bessie Keats. Card of thanks noted.
