DOT to remove hornets nest at Greenville Highway signal
State DOT crews sprayed a hornets nest on a traffic signal at Highland Lake Drive and Greenville Highway in Flat Rock and plan to return next week to remove it. A deputy traffic engineer said traffic was halted during spraying, and experts advised wearing protective gear and targeting the nest entrance for best results. Local beekeepers may assist for a nominal fee, with evening timing recommended.
