Pulliam Justus Partners seeks a certificate of appropriateness to raze the 1945 Lampley Motors building and a 1940 coffee shop at 101 and 112 North Church Street for a new development. Both structures are contributing properties in the downtown National Register district, with city guidelines urging alternatives to demolition and preservation of architectural features where possible. The commission meets Wednesday, September 20, to decide.
