Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards marks fifth anniversary in Henderson County
Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards at 588 Chestnut Gap Road celebrated its fifth anniversary. The winery sits on Ward family acreage with nine generations of farming, grows 14 grape varieties across two vineyards at elevations of 2300 and 3000 feet, and features a tasting room with indoor and outdoor seating and views of the vines. Ward opened Appalachian Ridge Artisan Ciders across the road. The ENO center notes wines from at least 75 percent North Carolina fruit or honey entered in a local competition judged by the NC Wine and Grape Council.

Henderson County Planning Board voted 4-3 to reject John Turchin’s master plan for 299 rental dwellings on rural Etowah land, citing misalignment with the 2020 plan and failure to secure water and sewer commitments.
