Solar powered Hendersonville home built for energy efficiency
Keith Metler and his wife Deb moved to Hendersonville from Chicago and designed a brick ranch powered entirely by solar. They bought six acres on Nelson Valley Road and planned the home around electric energy needs. The house features an ultra efficient heat pump, a tight envelope, and conditioned basement space kept at 70 degrees to minimize humidity and energy use.
