Two friends fly coast to coast in vintage Stearman PT 17
Ken Stubbs 73 and Dennis Dunlap 59 retraced a 4652 mile round trip in a 1942 open cockpit Stearman. They left Hendersonville on June 10 and crossed oceans by coast to California before returning through hot deserts. They refueled every two hours, avoided high altitude, and drew admiration at every stop.
