Heritage Hills retirement center becomes Brookdale site
Heritage Hills on Asheville Highway in Mountain Home was developed by David Matthews in 1984 as a life care retirement community for 55 and over. In 1996 Matthews sold Aaron Enterprises to Emeritus Corporation. the Asheville Highway complex is now Brookdale Hendersonville North, with memory care and residential units. Brookdale operates about 1,150 communities in 46 states.
