Mills River marks its 10th birthday celebration
Mills River residents gathered at the town center to mark 10 years since incorporation in June 2003. Mayor Roger Snyder and Town Manager Jaime Laughter credited local unity for avoiding annexation by Asheville, Fletcher, or Hendersonville, noting the town’s growth includes a park, library, and town hall. Fire Chief Rick Livingston and business leader Susan Adell highlighted community pride and rising business membership as key milestones.
