Henderson County opens new gym with first summer camp program
Henderson County Parks and Recreation tipped off the first program at the new Henderson County Athletics and Activity Center with a boys basketball camp led by Hall of Fame coach John Whitmire. Five campers attended opening day, with Whitmire assisted by Lanny Thompson and Brevard College student Hunter Donaldson. Upcoming camps include girls basketball, girls volleyball, and NC Youth Soccer Association camps with dates in July and August. contact 697-4884 or visit hcpd.com for details.
