County OKs new emergency services facility in Henderson
Henderson County commissioners approved a new emergency services headquarters on the Balfour School property after a split vote. The project, part of the 2016-17 budget plan, would cost about 10 to 12 million and include EMS and rescue squad offices plus training space, with design to start immediately and completion aimed for August 2018. Commissioner Lapsley opposed, seeking site reviews. Chairman Thompson defended Balfour as best.
