Historic Flat Rock nomination advances to National Park Service
Kevin Cherry signed the updated nomination on December 1 and the document now awaits review by the National Park Service with the state serving as initial reviewer. The 430 page draft catalogs 1 575 homes and 610 contributing resources within the district, detailing Beau mont Dunroy Chanteloup and the Carl Sandburg Home site and tracing the area’s 1827 to 1964 significance.
