Flat Rock approves 50 percent historic tax break plan
Flat Rock officials adopt a local ordinance offering a 50 percent property tax reduction for qualifying historic landmarks as long as owners avoid demolition or major exterior changes. A three member Historic Landmarks Commission will oversee designation, inventory, and approvals, with owner consent as the trigger for nomination.
