Laurel Park board approves Rhododendron park plan
Laurel Park Town Board, amid neighbor and one council member objections, approves a plan for Rhododendron Lake Park involving moving Wash Creek tributary and shoring Lake Drive. Engineer Buie warns the rival Hultquist plan could cost 725000 for engineering and mitigation, prompting concerns of an 18 cent tax increase per 100 valuation. The board votes 3 to 1 to authorize a contract for the plan.
