Sierra Nevada accelerates Mills River brewery opening to July
Sierra Nevada Brewing Co plans to start gin production in Mills River by July 2013, moving up from November amid strong demand. Co manager Stan Cooper said road work on Fanning Bridge Road and a new NC 281 intersection with a roundabout will facilitate site access. The company outlines hiring plans for about 60 staff initially, with a second wave of 75 to 80 hires in hospitality roles, plus on site amenities and a focus on sustainability including solar panels and fuel cells.
