Commissioners reject tax rollback pledge again
A divided Henderson County Board again refused a formal commitment to roll back property taxes if a local option sales tax is approved. The 3-2 vote upheld a motion to reduce the tax rate if the sales tax passes, while Lapsley and Hawkins pressed for a binding pledge.
