Alumni group argues for lower HHS project costs
Laurel Park alumni say the county overpaid for the Health Sciences Center and emergency services complex, citing Clark Nexsen bids of 53 million and 13.6 million for EMS while contractor estimates ranged from 36 to 44 million. They urge competitive bids, budget controls, and reconsideration to save about 30 million dollars for local taxpayers.
