Stroupe Faces Multiple Charges in Transylvania and McDowell

A grand jury date is set for Aug 21 as Stroupe faces six charges in Transylvania and six in McDowell counties. He is accused of kidnapping and murder in the Bryson case and of offenses including meth possession and fleeing from police. Bond in McDowell was $2 million. a new bond may be set for the homicide charge. Authorities praised first responders and urged tips from the public.
