Family Equality Council cancels South Kanuga Weekend over HB2
The Family Equality Council scrapped its planned Family Weekend at Camp Kanuga in Hendersonville June 17 19 because North Carolina HB2 creates a hostile climate for LGBT families. The loss halts a potential 25 families traveling from outside the state and follows Gov. McCrory defending HB2 as protecting privacy in bathrooms and showers.
