Pardee Hospital rebounds from prior year loss driven by surgeries
Pardee Hospital reports a 2015-16 loss of 13 million tied to a new systemwide computer rollout and hiring. For FY2016-17 first five months, revenue topped 263.2 million while expenses were 1.35 million under budget, yielding an 804 thousand net gain and 2.1 million above budget. Inpatient admissions rose 6 percent with surgeries up 17 percent year over year. The Pardee Foundation nears a 6 million goal for the Comprehensive Cancer Center, aided by 270 donors. Lyle Lovett will headline a Brevard Music Center show Aug 18 as part of the eclipse celebration series.
