Franklin High School seniors attended the annual Career Day at Sam Houston State College in Huntsville on Friday February 9. Supt. Roland Reynolds accompanied the group. Auxiliary Meets In Hassell Home
The Franklin Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion met at Mr and Mrs I R Hassell home on Tuesday night February 6 with ten members present. Membership cards were issued. President Mrs Hassell presided as Mrs L A Wilder spoke on Rehabilitation. The auxiliary, recently organized, has 22 paid members. Officers elected: Verdi Hassell president Pauline Johnson vice president Carolyn Reeves second vice president Mary Jo Campbell secretary Ruth Hurst treasurer Bettye Grace historian Mildred Andrues chaplain Dorothy Brooks sergeant at arms. A refreshments plate followed the program.

The Franklin Parent-Teacher Association met at the elementary school auditorium for a regular monthly meeting. A joint program by first and second grades was presented under the supervision of Miss Ola Smith, Mrs Christine Jackson, Mrs Buna Smith, and Mrs Frank Brunette. Due to weather the January program was postponed and the two grades performed together. A large crowd attended and the room count was split between the two grades.
