Austin Texas March 1 1937 all cotton fields in Presidio Brewster El Paso Hudspeth Ward Reeves and Pecos counties must be cleaned of all cotton bolls and boll parts by February 1 each year. Infested fields in these counties are also subject to the same sanitation and marketing regulations according to George B Terrell commissioner of agriculture.
A large watermelon seed that had begun to sprout was removed from the right lung of 23 year old Charles Ray Cole, son of C. S. Cole of Mesquite, in Dallas. The seed was inhaled about five weeks ago and was taken out in a bloodless operation. recovery is expected.
