Rockdale shallow field adds six new wells in Rockdale Texas

In Rockdale, six recently completed wells boosted daily Rockdale shallow field output by about 150 barrels. An chor Of Company's No. 7 blamilton yields 50 barrels, Milam Production Company's No. 1 Gaither 25, Jones et al's No. 1 Tom Phillips 10, Bow man Oil Company's No. 3 Gaither 25, Junior Oil Company's No. 1 Hamilton 25 or more, Wahpoo Oil Company's No. 7 Gross 11. All within two miles of Rockdale city limits.

Wildcat Well Progressing in Goose Creek Texas

Developments in the C. T. Rucker wildcat well in Chambers County progress rapidly with 21 feet of sand at 2220 feet and a six inch screen being set. Earthen storage works are under way as teams dig. The test sits in a previously unexplored southwestern Chambers County area, and success could open a new field east of Goose Creek across Cedar Bayou. Mr. Rucker is a well known local operator from early Goose Creek days.

Oil Well Reopened by Heyden in Wheeler County Claim

In Austin 1849 permit granted by Texas Railroad Commission oil and gas division to Joe Heyden, former circus trooper, to reopen a Wheeler County well. He says Spaniards dug to 1177 feet in 1849, claiming it was a shaft to a silver mine. Heyden claims Spaniards cemented with gyp rock and that the hole now shows within about 20 feet of the top as he reopened it. He says he learned of the well from aged Spanish documents produced as evidence.

Sour Lake Oil Well Produces 400 Barrels at 2696 Feet

In Sour Lake Texas an oil well on the Young-Lee property flowed about 400 barrels through ten screens at a depth of 2696 feet while washing. Pay formation depth was reported at 4026 feet with the well still in steady flow.
