Lady Driver Tips Over Navy Bus in San Leandro
A Navy bus en route from Treasure Island to a shoe maker overturned Friday afternoon on Foothill Boulevard one fourth mile east of Estadio. The sole occupant, 22 year old Margaret Ida Santos of San Francisco, escaped with minor injuries after striking an oil slick on a slide incline and tipping onto its side. Spectators reported the bus blocked traffic as it slid into a boulevard curb. Santos broke a window and crawled free.
