Preschool Drive Examines Hayward Children for Immunization
The Hayward Public Health Center completes a district wide Pre-School Drive at Independent School and nearby districts. Doctors Azevedo Manley and Bettencourt examined thirty seven children at Friday clinics and many were immunized against diphtheria and smallpox. Mrs. Floria Prentiss notes a drop in diphtheria cases from over five hundred three years ago to twenty five this year. Parents urged to protect every child for proper development and to prevent future cases.
