Stolen Car Returned After Night Theft Claim

Clifford Cooper of 1296 A Street had his car returned after he reported it stolen between A and Watkins Streets. Two Camp Par E. L. Seabees, Banaszkiewcz and Omer Wedder, said they rented the car for $9.50 and were told to return it to Camp Barks by 4 a.m. Police noted no complaint was filed.

Woman escapes injury in Castro Valley crash

Mrs. Anne Rick of 140 Jensen Road Castro Valley was thrown from her car when a grain truck with semi-trailer struck her vehicle at 4000 Castro Valley Boulevard. Driver Jerry Bain Sacramento said a U turn by Mrs. Rick forced the collision. Bain could not swerve due to an oncoming Navy bus and hit a parked car. Mrs. Rick was taken to Fairfield Hospital by a Navy ambulance. she was dazed but unhurt otherwise.

Transfer Denied In Damage Case By Local Judge

Judge Jacob Hartley refused motion by L R Weinmann representing Maceo Construction to transfer the $975 damage suit filed by Mrs Cuthes Flick to a court of similar jurisdiction.
