The Hayti women gathered in the High School auditorium on March 14 to discuss and endorse candidates for the April 5 city election. Mrs. O. H. Bryant chaired. Child injured by telephone truck in village accident
Four year old Francis Stubbs was struck and dragged lightly by a Bell Telephone Service Truck driven by G F Callihan on Third Street near Gaither and Stubbs store. The girl suffered minor head injuries but was expected to recover. Callihan expressed distress and said it was his first accident.

Robbers Enter Dorris Store Amid Window Door Prised
A. J. Dorris reports Monday night burglars entered his store by prying the door with a scantling and breaking glass. They took only the cash drawer area, missing most of the till while leaving a potential $65 sale recorded. Dorris notes this is the eleventh break in since he opened in town.
