A group led by H. D. Wells C. P. Wells and T. Simpson purchased Lefler's Drug Store stock fixtures and good will from L. Lefler. Lefler’s Drug Store, a Pemiscot institution since 1902, will continue under Wells Drie Soapany with Lefler retaining Edison and Columbia agency rights.

North End County Gets New Deputy Sheriff Appointee

Purebred Hogs a Farmer's Asset

W M Collins Jr of Caruthersville with W L Nall of Sikeston attended the Sikes Renner initial offering of purebred Duroc Jersey swine at Sikeston. The sale featured spring gilts mostly, some fall gilts and boars, all well grown and in good condition. Average price per gilt was 110.50 dollars, all selling to local buyers. Local farmers urged to follow Scott County example.

Souvenir Knife Sent From Paris Nephew to Mrs Streiff

Officials from Dunklin and Pemiscot counties hold a meeting in Caruthersville to push road work linking Caruthersville Hayti and Kennett and to press for the St Paul New Orleans interstate route. Leaders from Hayti Kennett and Poplar Bluff discuss state road plans and a possible 50 50 funding split to finish the project.
