Wayth Baptist Sunday School will hold a no basket picnic at the park on the south side of town on Tuesday July 20. Everyone invited to attend and provide a day of fun for the children. Attendees expected to bring well filled baskets. Refreshments of all kinds on the ground. Committee: Mrs. Pearl Gaskins, Ind Woods and Durrie Hayes.

Unit of New Era Lodge No 36 in Hayti Missouri reports the death of Brother W U Morris on July 6 at about 74 years 7 months and 10 days. Morris joined the organization in 1865 and was active many years though aged and ill prevented lodge attendance. The lodge declares him an elder honored member and sends mourning notices to his widow and children while draping the charter for 30 days and requesting publication in local papers.

The Civic League announces a comic and patriotic entertainment on Thursday July 22. Proceeds from the plays support a local good cause as ladies organize the event and urge community encouragement.
At the Monday night school board meeting grounds were ordered broken and planted to cross. The clerk’s salary was raised to 25. Harve Ferrell was appointed school commissioner, replacing Dr Heard who resigned. Dozens of local notices include theft recovery, sales, and city reminders about cleanliness, curfew, and newspaper renewals.
A. H. Dunn bornbollinger County Litesville April 17 1ST8 died June 15 100 aged 1 years 2 months 2 days after seven years in Haiti married Mamie A. Oates July 24 1906 with two children a son and a daughter ages three and one. He was a devoted husband father and friend. He embraced the word of God as health failed and died peacefully.
